Why is my fridge making loud noises?

If your refrigerator is making noises check the condenser fan motor. If it is your condenser fan motor, you will notice your fridge isn’t as cool as it should be as your fridge may turn on and off. Other parts that can be associated with a noisy fridge are a faulty evaporator fan motor or an evaporator fan motor grommet.

My fridge is leaking, what can I do?

If your fridge is leaking, the first thing to check is your door gaskets and seals which are located along the outside of the door. Another common issue can be your water inlet valve which directs water from the supply line to the ice maker or dispenser. If your fridge has an ice maker, water leaks are commonly found.

What do I do if my fridge stops working?

If your fridge stops working, check the overload relay for signs of overheating or arcing. You can check the overload relay for continuity using a multimeter. If your relay is working fine other issues that can cause a fridge to stop working are cold control and temperature control, or electronic board. The electronic board is installed on newer refrigerators and can be expensive to repair. If your control board shows signs of burnt connections, arching, or damaged foil, you will need to replace this part.
